- Muno
- "What is with the name Muno?" This was the name we affectionatly called my grandmother and the name my grandchildren use for me. It is pronounced Mun-rhymes with Bun + O = Muno! My Muno, grandmother was a homesteader in 1904; moving from Missouri with her husband and baby daughter to Alberta Canada. Even though they hauled water in buckets and struggled with this new country Muno's first priority was planting a garden. As a child I loved our visits. I spent many hours picking raspberries or helping in her garden while she gave me advice on keeping my hands soft and wearing a hat to protect my face from the sun. I loved this wonderful woman and feel it a great privilege to "borrow" her name!
